Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (Amendment) Regulations
2003
On 1st October 2004, all police forces became subject to the
terms of the above legislation. This Act was designed to help end
discrimination against disabled people by giving rights in certain
areas, one of these being employment. If you have a disability as
designated by the terms of this Act, and wish to have some form of
reasonable adjustment made to any aspect of the recruitment process
- including the administration of the fitness assessment - to
ensure you are not unfairly discriminated against, please contact
the Recruitment Unit on 01463 720318 for further discussion and
advice.
You do not need to disclose the nature of your disability, only
what reasonable adjustment you are seeking.
